Cattle Bedding Sand

Cattle Bedding Sand is a fine (0.25-0.06mm) washed sand. It is designed as a substitute for Cubicare in enclosed stockyards.  Hydrosized Cattle Bedding Sand is the medium of choice when drying off the milking cows.  Any leakage is dessicated rather than absorbed which kills the bacteria. 

Cattle Bedding Sand sand is freer flowing than Cubicare and can result in spillage into the passage. However, Cubicare becomes very muddy when wet as the addition of clay reduces the drainage properties of the sand. Where the bedding is likely to become wet then Cattle Bedding Sand is the preferred medium. In those instances where the bedding can be kept dry and it is manageable by the disposal system then Cubicare is the preferred bedding medium.

The collected price per tonne is calculated without assuming relief from Aggregate Levy and before any settlement discount.

Available in one tonne bags (at 1000kg a fraction smaller than an imperial one ton bag, which would be 1016kg). Small 20kg samples are also available (please ring).
